Online Classes

Tell us what you think about the possibility of taking courses online. What are the trade-offs between this approach to education and an experience complete with classrooms and in-person interactions? What are the benefits and drawbacks? Have you ever taken an online course or used an instructional video like those from Vi Hart or Khan Academy? If so, what did you think? Can you see video and online instruction replacing traditional classes? Do you think it is the wave of the future?

Online courses would be a good idea. I think it would benefit those who can't afford to go to school, who have to stay home and take care of kids, or a sick relative. This would also be a drawback because you might not get a hands-on teaching. You would not have the experience with those who did go to school. For instance, if you never been to a school and you have been home schooled all your life you would not know how to act if you decided to go to a college or a public school. Whereas if you was raised going to a public school you would know how to act once you attend college.
