Long time no Speak

Hello, blog!! Long time no speak.. I apologize for that. I've been thinking maybe I should reconnect with my blog and speak on all the endeavors that may stand in my path as I prosper in life. This would be sort of like a online diary.. perhaps.. this can help me Cope with this thing called Life. Well, my next post will indeed be about life and all that I have interpted from it. Also, how disappointing and pathetic it has became.

Question of the Day: Do you think that lessons should have a greater emphasis on broad skills? Does learning dates, facts and figures by rote kill children's creativity? What would be the effect of reverting back to teaching methods from the past? How do you teach basic skills and also teach the skill that employers and colleges want?

I think that lessons should have a greater on broad skills because our generation is accomplishing great technology and is evolving.A evolution will come and learning dates, facts and figures by rote will kill children's creativity.If you keep one's education limited how do you expect them to do for themselves. How would they know how to do anything if they cant think outside the box.

A good teaching method that we should revert to is reading the dictionary and learning it's words. This method would keep the vocabulary of the youth varied. Teach basic skills with actual hands on programs. Give people the work experience before they actually go into the field so you can enter the job already know what is expected and what needs to be done.

4/27 Can Cellphones Be Educational Tools? - Test *

 

I feel that the use of mobile devices like cellphones and tablets as educational tools are a very good idea, it is more convenient a mobile devices would also come in hand outside of school. Mobile devices would allow students to quickly communicate with their teachers and fellow students. They could be used to complete homework, projects, etc. As a student who is often sick, and out of school my mobile device has allowed me to get my work while at home. With my mobile device I have also been able to e-mail my work to my teachers. Mobile devices also help the environment, by reducing the amount of handouts that teachers have to give and papers that students hand in. All of those papers eventually end up in the garbage, so let's try and avoid that all together.

The use of mobile devices not only benefits students, teachers benefit from it as well. As of now my teachers can e-mail me just about any assignment. Whether it's a power point, a news article, or a worksheet, they can be sent to my e-mail almost instantly. A mobile devices use in a class is almost measureless. They can be utilized to enhance a students learning experience. Instead of just reading out a boring and out dated text book, teachers could show their students videos or other material.

A transparent image background is better than a color background when your advertising something.  

Dress Code 2012

Question of the Day: What do you think the consequences should be for not following the Dress Code?  What would you say to students that challenge the Dress Code?



There should be no consequences for not following the dress code because I feel that there is no point in the dress code and it"s new rules.  Why start a new dress code policy two months before the whole 2011-2012 school year is over.  Students will challenge because the new rule is ridiculous and it is late in the year.  Some of the students  get cold faster than others.  Many stay cold, like me I get cold in the summer time what may be a contempt temperature for you will not be the same for others.  No two bodies are the same.

School Friends Vs Online Friends

Question of the Day:  Do you think people act online the same way that they act in school?  Do you treat your online friends the same as your school friends? Why?

I think some people act the same way as they do on the internet as they do in school.  The people online are your school friends so they get the same treatment as if they were in front of the person because it doesn't matter to some people if they are in your face or not.

Rude Dudes

Question of the Day:  Why are people unbelievably rude online?  Do you  think they would be as rude to the person's face?

People are rude because they feel protected and at distant.  Some people would not be as rude online in person.

Question of the Day: Why do you think that Avatars and Icons are important part of your online image?

It may show a sense of creativity and the colors will display you and your emotions.

Manners

It is important to display manners on the internet because the information or words you say on the internet builds you a virtual or online profile that people take in ass your characteristics. If you be or type malicious words to somebody you are portrayed as a malicious person.

Loading Time

When a web page takes long to load most people would keep clicking the icon or exit out and try to access the page again. Too long is ten seconds and more.

I think carefully planning and designing are important to create a successful website you can't just put somethings together and think its good.  

Usability

Do you think it is really more important to work better than to look good? Or are they equally important?


It is really more important to work better because you can have a high tech or very appealing design no one will use it if the actual website does not work efficiently. But then they both are important.

Why do you think Blog posts that have spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes reflect poorly on the Author?

 







 Poor writing says you don't know what your talking about and it is important to check your spelling because it is a reflection of yourself, it is a internet profile of you.The way your blog looks can be just as important as the content itself.

Screen Shots

I would want to use more than one window because it makes it easier for me to read the required information and type my work. It would prevent me from switching tabs ovr and over and it reduces the amount of tabs that are open.

iTextbooks and Review

Tell us your thoughts on the growing offerings in digital books and textbooks. Do you like the idea of having your books on a Phone, Tablet or other device? What might be the drawbacks? What percentage of textbooks do you think will be digital 10 years from now? Do you think you’d read more if you had access to e-books? How do you think e-books will change studying and learning?


I really like the thought of digital books. Are generation will have a advantage as well as a disadvantage. We have all the talk about how our school books will be on our devices when actuality our devices have none. If we do have access to a book its not the actual material that in the real textbook. It just has examples of the problem and the steps of solving it. It would be a advantage if they were able to work out that kink and put the actual books on them.


Pesonally, books on my phone, tablet, or any portable gadgit I love. Drawbacks can vary. A major drawback that can happen is no service. Even if its 3G or 4G it can lose service. Say if there was a delimma and i needed to look it up on the internet in a basement I would not be able to obtain the information I am looking for. Another drawback is how the hard drive or the whole system itself crashes. One nasty or horrible crash can wipe away every single thing stored on that device.

Ten years for now I believe approximatly 98 percent of textbooks should be digital. Indeed, if more e-books are available I would read more. I can almost gaurentee that the average amount of people that read will increase. E-books will change studying and learning by actually making it more easy and more entertaining. Many more students will be active in class and eager to learn. If you change up your style and the way you present all the lesson more will learns and stay eager for more lesson and your class. Starting from the year of 2012 adapt to our generation and help us learn in a new and entertaing way.
